FORCE/Robak Associates Ltd. (FRA), which was founded in 1984, provides technologies and services to the forestry sector worldwide, with an emphasis on systems that improve forest resource and forest operation decision-making.

Forest product companies, government departments, research institutes and universities in many countries have used FRA’s products and expertise. In the 90s, the development of the Integrated Forest Management (IFMS) suite of applications led to projects in Thailand, India and Spain. More recently, FRA has developed a new decision support technology, OperMAX, in its primary area of expertise: forest operation management.

At the same time, the development of the PORTeL spatial visualization and analysis technology has not only enabled FRA to incorporate GIS functionality in its forest resource and operations management software, it allows the company to offer these capabilities to forestry companies and forest management application developers everywhere.
